WebApr 13, 2015 · Be careful not to get any schmutz in the gas tank when you're cleaning the neck. Just use a rag and a little carb cleaner sprayed on it. Inspect the gasket, too, to see if it looks worn or damaged. If it does, then replace the cap or the gasket (or in a pinch, reverse it so the "good" side contacts the filler neck). WebIf one cylinder, pull the plug and check it, check the plug wire. If those both are getting good spark, use a noid light to check if the injector is firing. For a multiple cylinder code, start at the distributor and work your way back. Check cap & rotor, ignition coil, ignition control module (granted the last two usually either work or don't).
